Office Policies

At Cornelia Court Medical Associates, we strive to provide the best healthcare possible.

Abuse - Our clinic has a strict zero tolerance policy. Our staff are part of your healthcare team, and all deserved to be treated with respect and dignity. Any abuse towards staff (verbal or physical) may result in termination of the doctor patient relationship.

No Shows and Cancellations - We kindly request that you provide at least 24 hours notice prior to appointment cancellation or changes. Our physicians are incredibly busy and No Shows significantly impact other patients access to care. Repeated No Shows could result in termination of the doctor patient relationship. Please note, there is a $30 fee for a regular appointment no show, and a $50 fee for a missed Periodic Health Exam.

Late for Appointment - We understand that unexpected events can occur. We ask that you call to notify us in the event you are running late. If you are late for an appointment, it is up to your physicians discretion if you can be seen that day. Please be advised that you may have to wait to be seen, as other patients that have arrived on time will be seen first. We kindly ask that you plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early for your appointments.

Prescription Renewal without Appointment - Telephone requests for prescription renewals as well as faxes from pharmacies will be subject to a $20 fee. Please note that these renewal requests take up a significant amount of office resource (Staff time, Phone line usage etc..). This service is not covered by OHIP, as such a charge of $20 will apply. We encourage you to bring all medications to your regular appointments.
